By now you have probably heard about the great new Imaging Design Software from PRO Landscape and EP Henry. And yes, it is still being offered at the discounted price of $800through 6/30/10. The software is already paying dividends for some of our contractors:
"PRO Landscape is great - I've already closed about 8 jobs using the program. The interface is very user-friendly and we can now e-mail drawings and make provisions with customers directly, instead of them looking at a drawing then calling us back. It's a nice feature that speeds up the decision process and helps lock up a deal a lot faster."
-Contractor in Western PA
“I’ve been using the PRO Landscape design program and it has been giving me a leg up on appointments. I’m getting good at the designs and the homeowners are really responding to it.”
-Contractor in Maryland
We heard great reviews from other contractors, and now you can turn to your EP Henry Authorized Hardscaping Distributors for extra help. The idea came about when Janet Stan, Project Consultant at EP Henry, spoke to Tracy Saunders at Dorwin Springs at their DIY event in Syracuse, NY recently. Saunders had been intrigued by what she heard about the software and wanted to learn more.
After Stan showed her how it worked and some of it's great features, Saunders had an idea: she could offer it as a design service to homeowners and contractors, especially with the advanced emailing and editing capabilities PRO Landscape offers. "It is always something a homeowner wants help with in the decision process, and it is often a piece of the project that contractors don't have enough time to do or don't have the resources for this type of thing. We could work as the perfect go-between for our contractors and homeowners," Saunders said.
Here is how it would work:
- Contractor emails photos of property to distributor
- Distributor creates design with a "Before and After" effect and sends it back to contractor
- Contractor has a completed design that they can show to their customer within PRO Landscape along with a polished proposal that can also be created with the software
Another possibility would have the distributors offering the design service to homeowners at DIY events or drive-bys. If the homeowner is doing the project themselves, the design can be created for them directly, or if the customer is looking for a contractor, the software could be resold to the a recommended contractor. There are a number of options that could work, but it depends on the distributor and their relationships with contractors, so they should set up in whatever way works best for them.
